Section C - Elevation

Section - Section (North/South)

North/South Section (same scale as Floor Plan)

Section C - Floor Plans (upper)

Study:

Built with the intention of allowing maximum levels of light into the room. This however comes with the issue of excess heat also entering the room and the need to expell this heat. The roof has been sloped upward with a vent at it's high point and in combination with the louvers in the lower section of the windows allows for an upward airflow expelling heat through the roof vent.

Bedrooms:
Both the master and guest bedrooms were built with an ensuite bathroom, however due to certain restrictions a single seperate toilet is dowstairs. The master bedroom also has a built in wardrobe.

Reflection Garden:
Due to Addison's love of the outdoors I created an outdoor reflection space in the form of a garden and gazebo. The garden is suspended between two retaining wall gardens and sitts on a leveled ground formed by the cut and fill of the retaining walls. The path to the gazebo is rock compacted into a sand base (no concrete).

Kitchen/Living:
Designed to to open up and allow plenty of light in through a fibreglass and ply cut-out filter system as seen used in his Taringa house, current residence in Mt. Crosby and a minor renovation project done on the QUAKERS building at Kelvin Grove. The filigree pattern is to resemble the large cedar wattle tree that grows in the lower end of the yard.
